SUMMARY:2018 Chemistry of Indoor Environments Science Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The 2018 Chemistry of Indoor Environments Meeting will take place October 24 – 26 in Boulder\, Colorado. \nProgram\nThe full meeting program can be seen here. \nA list of poster presentations can be seen here. \n  \nVenue\nThe meeting will take place at the Sustainability\, Energy\, and Environment Center (SEEC) in the University of Colorado Boulder East Campus. \n \nResources: This building has a cafe\, a lactation room\, and is ADA accessible. \nHotel\nA hotel room block is reserved at the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn\, located at 770 28th St\, Boulder\, CO. This hotel is located within walking distance from the University of Colorado Main Campus and is 1.4 miles away from the SEEC building\, in East Campus. A charter bus will be offered to bring participants to and from the meeting. \nThis hotel provides a full breakfast service\, included in the room fee. \nThe group rate ($158 plus tax) applies to rooms with either one king or two queen beds: \nBy phone: Call 800-233-8469 and reference code “IndoorChem” \nOnline code: https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotel-rooms.06103.html?groupId=8C5UE6M4 \nThis room block expires one month prior to the meeting. \n  \nTransportation\nFrom the Airport\nWe recommend participants to take the AB bus from Denver Airport to Boulder. This convenient bus costs $9 (cash required) and takes you to multiple locations in Boulder. The “Broadway and Baseline” stop is 0.6 miles away from the Hotel. \nTo the Airport\nIn order to facilitate transportation at the end of the meeting\, we have arranged for a charter bus to take participants to Denver Airport at the end of the meeting (free of charge). This bus departs at 3:30 pm on Friday and will arrive at the airport between 4:10 and 4:30 pm. \nParticipants who are not able to take this charter bus are recommended to take an Uber to the “US 36 & Table Mesa Station – Gate B” (6 min drive) and from there take the eastbound AB bus to the airport. The AB bus costs $9 (cash required). \nDriving\nThere are metered parking spaces in the front of the building (at the roundabout) and on the north side of the building. \nFrom the hotel to the meeting\nA charter bus will be offered to bring participants to and from the meeting on Thursday and Friday morning. A bus will also taking participants from the meeting to the dinner on Thursday night. Please refer to the meeting program to see more details. \n  \nFees and funding\nThere is a $50 registration fee for this meeting\, which includes all meals during the meeting. All attendees must register to attend. Deadline for registration: September 15\, 2018. \nThere is a limited number of travel awards for early-career professionals (students and postdoctoral scholars)\, which covers the registration fee\, flights\, and hotel (most meals are included in the meeting registration). The deadline for applications for these awards was August 15. All early career awards have been distributed. \n  \nPhoto/video policy:\nIn the interest of encouraging a free exchange of preliminary findings while enabling some sharing on social media\, we are establishing the following policy for this meeting:\n– No sound or video recording of presentations is allowed.\n– No photos of data slides or posters are allowed without permission from the author.\nThis means that photos of title/introduction/broad conclusion slides are allowed and could be shared on social media. If speakers are uncomfortable with photos of any form\, they can add a note on their slides or poster requesting “No photos / no tweets” and all meeting attendees are expected to respect this request.\n  \nCode of Conduct\nThis meeting follows the IndoorChem Code of Conduct and Policy of Respect: \nIndoorChem is an open community of researchers and students that seeks to elucidate the rich and complicated chemistry of the indoor environment.
